Athletes in Action in the NYCBL
The New York Collegiate Baseball League is located in scenic upstate New York. Athletes In Action called Alfred, New York
home for its inaugural year as a member of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. AIA is not a newcomer to the NYCBL as they have appeared as a visiting team in 1998 and 2000. Founded in 1978, the New York Collegiate Baseball League is a summer wooden bat league sanctioned by the NCAA. The team played a 42-game regular season schedule beginning in June and ending the last week of July with a third place finish in the Western Division. The NYCBL also featured an All-Star game in early July that featured five of the AIA players (Matt Scott, Lance Marcum, Scott Rooker, Davy Cheek, Nate Mayben).
