Matt joined Athletes in Action in the fall of 2007 to oversee the baseball field. Originally from Southern California, Matt played his college baseball as a catcher and 1st Baseman at the University of Arizona , and then Westmont College in Santa Barbara , CA . The highlight of his college playing career was the summer tour he took with Athletes in Action Baseball in 1998. After college, Matt traveled to Asia to train high school and college baseball players. He went on to coach at Westmont College for four seasons along with short coaching stints at Azusa Pacific University and at the high school level. Matt has worked with Baseball Factory and Team One Baseball as a coach, instructor, scout, and consultant. He is married to Heather and has 4 children: Adrianna, Camden , Adilyn, and Caleb. |
