Matt joined Athletes in Action in the fall of 2007 to oversee Grady’s Field at the Athletes in Action Sports Complex and to assist with the Xenia Scouts–AIA Baseball’s team in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.
Originally from Southern California, Matt played his college baseball as a catcher at the University of Arizona, and then Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA . His college playing career was highlighted by his Athletes in Action Baseball experience in the summer of 1998.
After college, Matt traveled to East Asia to train high school and college baseball players. He went on to coach at Westmont College for four seasons along with short coaching stints at Azusa Pacific University and at high schools in both Southern and Northern California. Matt has worked with Baseball Factory and Team One Baseball as a coach, instructor, scout, and consultant. Matt is the father of four children (Adrianna, Camden, Adilyn, and Caleb) and he resides in Xenia, OH.
